Be Like Caleb In This Season

Updated: Jun 1

But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. ~ Numbers 14:24 KJV

What Caleb and Joshua demonstrated (in Numbers 13&14) was beyond positive thinking.

I am all for being positive. But there’s a higher level of positivity, positivity that stems from God’s word. I love what Jerry Savelle Says,

When you have something revealed to you from the Word of God, it causes you to become very positive. ~ (Savelle, 1997).

That’s the positivity we ought to have. Positivity that’s as a result of revelation Knowledge. I am reminded of the 7 Spirits of God (or 7 manifestations of God's Spirit) mentioned in Isaiah 11:2. We are told about the Spirit of Knowledge and the Spirit of Understanding. The bible tells us what God said about Caleb, "There’s a spirit with him…"

I believe it was the spirit of Knowledge and understanding.

While others showed fear, and doubt Caleb and Joshua showed boldness and trust.

During this Covid-19 season, make up your mind when God looks at you, he will see you distinguished from the masses. He will see his people bold and fearless.

While others decide to vocalize their fear of Covid-19, “We will all die”, “Covid is killing”, “we are no match for strain delta...”

Rather than focus on that, focus on God’s word, what does he say about deadly diseases? What does he say about dreading the diseases? If God could protect you even before the vaccine was manufactured in 2020, can’t he continue doing so?

Caleb and Joshua, they knew who God was, they knew he is faithful! They knew what he says he does. They knew his word has integrity. Do you?

They knew God loved them, he loved Israel, and he was adamant to deliver them to the land flowing with milk and honey. They trusted in his love. They knew if they went to take the land he was on their side. They had a revelation and understanding of God’s love and favor.

May we know deep in our hearts just how much God loves us. It’s not by accident that we are living in these times. May we know the Love of God which is in Christ. May we know how God is for us, and nothing can be against us, including Covid-19.

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God... ~ Ephesians 3:18-19 KJV
