Did Jesus go to the graveyards?

Updated: Jun 1

"If you can raise the dead, go to the graveyards." A phrase I have heard so many times.

But looking at Jesus, almost all, if not all miracles he performed, he didn't go to the people, the people came to him. Jesus went around preaching, and in that process, he would encounter people who were oppressed by demons. He would cast out the demons and people would be healed.

The lady with the issue of blood, went to Jesus. The man with the withered hand was at the synagogue on the Sabbath which so happens to be where Jesus was, Jesus didn't necessarily go searching for him. The paralyzed man who was lowered through the roof to Jesus Christ, he was brought to Jesus. Jesus wasn't lowered to sick people's homes. The man with leprosy saw Jesus and went to him.

When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” ~ Matthew 8:1-2 NLT

For those who were too sick and couldn't go to Jesus themselves, their relatives went on their behalf. Lazarus' sisters sent for Jesus. The man whose daughter had died went to Jesus. The roman officer went to Jesus when his servant was sick.

Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him. “My little daughter is dying,” he said. “Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live.” ~Mark 5:22-23 NLT

The emphasis being on the fact that Jesus didn't go to graveyards to raise people from the dead. The relatives of the dead went to Jesus. The people Jesus healed, he didn't go to the hospitals/ where the sick where. He went around preaching, and met people that needed miracles there. He went to the synagogue, and he met demon possessed people there. He would be going to a certain town and come across people who would be in need of a miracle.

So next time someone says, "Since you can heal the sick, go heal people with Corona at XYZ hospital", remember you have nothing to prove to anyone. If God said you can do all things! That means you can. You don't have to start doing "All things" to prove to anyone that you can indeed do all things.
