"This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead."
~ Galatians 1:1 NLT
The book of Galatians begins with the Apostle Paul writing to the church in Galatia. He clearly lets them know that he isn't appointed by any human being, rather he is appointed by Jesus Christ himself and God the father.
This portion shows the apostle's consciousness of the one who appointed him. It's vital we always acknowledge the one who empowers us to preach the gospel. We didn't just wake up and start spreading the word of God. The Spirit of God is the one who empowers us to be witnesses in our respective spheres of contact. Jesus when he was on earth constantly acknowledged the one from whom he's words and actions proceeded. He would say words like, "I do not speak on my own authority. The Father who has sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.." John 12:49 Apostle Paul goes on to acknowledge that Jesus was raised from the dead. He is no longer in the grave. His bones aren't rotting away six feet under ground. No! our Lord Jesus Christ is alive forever more!
It is my prayer that more and more of Gods people will constantly acknowledge the one who empowers us to tell others about Jesus. The one who gives us the kind, healing, encouraging words we utter. It is the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
