You are who God says you are

Ever heard the words, "If Christians can really heal the sick, they should go to the hospitals and heal those with Corona." It's even weird because sometimes it's Christians saying such. This reminds me of when Jesus was on the cross, one criminal said;

One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!” ~Luke 23:39 NLT

Just as Jesus didn't try to prove anything to the criminal, we shouldn't live our lives trying to prove anything to anyone. Jesus was/ is the Messiah, that's who God made him. Yet we don't see him saving himself and the criminals to prove he is who he is. Similarly, as Christians we are who God has made us. If he said, "we shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, then that's the truth." Whether we believe it or not, if God said it, it's truth. God said to Jesus, "You are my beloved Son, In you I am greatly pleased". Later on in the desert, Satan comes and is like, "Prove it!" We don't see Jesus succumbing to Satan's request and turning stones into cakes etc... We are led by the Holy Spirit, not Satan.

“Look at you now!” they yelled at him. “You said you were going to destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days. Well then, if you are the Son of God, save yourself and come down from the cross!” ~ Matthew 27:40 NLT

Was Jesus the Son of God? of course! He is even today! yet we don't see him coming down from the cross to prove he is. He was Spirit-led, not people-led.

Don't ever let anyone make you feel like you are anything less than who God says you are. If as Christians our lives were all about proving a point, we would have seen Jesus, The Master doing so. He is our example. Yes Christians should live lives characterized by the supernatural! and all that should be done as a result of following the guidance of the Holy Spirit not proving a point to other people.
